<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide printing apparatus, program, and printing control method which can set a data editing function for received print data effective or ineffective without affecting the life of a non-volatile memory. <P>SOLUTION: The printing apparatus 300 has a data receiving unit 100 for receiving print data from a host computer 400, a flash ROM 230 for storing initial setting information showing effectiveness or ineffectiveness of a predetermined set value and a predetermined process based on the predetermined set value, a RAM 240, and a CPU 210. The CPU 210 stores the initial setting information stored in the flash ROM 230 upon start-up, rewrites the initial setting information stored in the RAM 240 (initial setting information rewriting means), executes the predetermined process as a effective or ineffective process in accordance with the initial setting information stored in the RAM 249, and executes printing in accordance with the received print data (control means). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
