PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a three-dimensional cam from moving exceeding a normal scope of travel even when moving the three-dimensional cam in the axial direction of a camshaft using a cam traveling mechanism by a projecting part protruding in the radial direction more than the cam profile provided in both end parts in the axial direction of the three-dimensional cam to improve reliability of a system. SOLUTION: In this camshaft provided with the three-dimensional cam with the cam profile changed in the axial direction, the three-dimensional cam is provided to move in the axial direction of the camshaft, and the projecting parts protruding in the radial direction more than the cam profile are provided in both end parts in the axial direction of the three-dimensional cam.
