PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of a refuse lump in a refuse feeding conveyor having an upward gradient part and to eliminate retention of refuse to continuously feed the refuse to an incinerator. SOLUTION: The refuse feeder for transporting the refuse supplied from a refuse throw-in hopper, to a refuse feed hopper and refuse feeding equipment, uses a refuse feed conveyor 4 comprising a lower horizontal part, an upward inclining part and an upper horizontal part. A plurality of apron plates 10 for storing a predetermined quantity of refuse are installed on the periphery of the refuse feed conveyor 4, and rollers 8 elastically supported with a predetermined clearance P to the apron plates 10 are installed near a rise starting part of the upward inclining part.
