<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect size of irregular paper sheets without enlarging dimension of an image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device has movable guides 120 and 121 for fixing ends of paper sheets housed inside a cassette, a rail 122 fixed inside the cassette and provided with teeth, and a control unit for recognizing size of the irregular paper sheets set inside the cassette on the basis of setting position of the movable guides when the paper sheets are set inside the cassette. Each of the movable guides comprises a guide main body 120A (121A), a gear 124 fixed to a rotary shaft 123 fitted to the guide main body and to be engaged with the teeth of the rail, a worm 125 fixed to the rotary shaft, and an inclination sensor 127 fitted to a side surface of a worm wheel 126 to be engaged with the worm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
