<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine automatic stop/start control device capable of improving reliability of engine start, and assuring secure restart in an engine having an idling stop function. <P>SOLUTION: This engine automatic stop/start control device is provided with an AC power generator 2 and a DC power generator 3 for starting the engine 1 by power supplied by a battery 4 mounted on a vehicle. It is also provided with a start torque determination means 6a to determine if start torque corresponding to charged quantity in the battery 4 can be generated or not in the AC power generator 2 when conditions for automatic start are satisfied during automatic stop of the engine 1. When the start torque determination means 6a determines that it is not possible to generate start torque corresponding to the charged quantity of the battery 4 in the AC power generator 2, the engine 1 is started by the DC motor 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
