PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify carrying management of a key by allowing the unlocking operation of a new model lock and an old model lock by a single combination key when the new model lock and the old model lock coexist. SOLUTION: The key is provided with a cross section insertable in a keyhole of a rotating inner cylinder of either of the coexisting new model lock and old model lock. A keycode part for the old model lock for driving an internal lock mechanism of the old model lock is disposed on one side face, and a keycode part for the new model lock for driving an internal lock mechanism of the new model lock is disposed on another side face. A movable body forming the keycode part for the new lock is formed to hold a forming portion of the keycode part for the new model lock in a projecting position from the side face when inserted in the keyhole of the new model lock and to retreat the whole body into the cross section from the side face when inserted in the keyhole of the old model lock.
