<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a composite material of carbon nanotubes by untangling and dispersing carbon nanotubes agglomerated in lump. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the composite material of carbon nanotube is such that carbon nanotubes produced by arc discharge method are pulverized (pulverization process 31), the pulverized carbon nanotubes and an active carbon are added to acetone and mixed and dispersed by using ultrasonic waves to produce a composite material (mixing and dispersing process 32), the composite material is dried in a draft chamber to produce a powder composite material (drying process 33), and this composite material is heated to burn a part of the active carbon to remove it and to expose the carbon nanotubes in a state where they are dispersed evenly in a high density (active carbon removing process 34).
