摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device for a continuously variable transmission improvable in responsiveness and fuel economy. SOLUTION: A target shift ratio is computed in accordance with detected vehicle information. Driving and driven side slip lower limit values are computed as hydraulic pressure lower limit values at which a belt is not slipped on driving and driven side pulleys when rotated. When the ratio of the rotation radius of the belt on the driving side pulley to that on the driven side pulley is not smaller than 1, hydraulic pressure thrust on the driving side pulley is set at the driving side slip lower limit value and driven side target hydraulic pressure thrust as hydraulic pressure thrust on the driven side pulley is computed in accordance with a target shift ratio. When the ratio of the rotation radius of the belt on the driving side pulley to that on the driven side pulley is smaller than 1, hydraulic pressure thrust on the driven side pulley is set at the driven side slip lower limit value and driving side target hydraulic pressure thrust as hydraulic pressure thrust on the driving side pulley is computed in accordance with the target shift ratio.
