The mobile telephone (MT) has a switch-on function (1) with a PIN checking stage (2) connected to a keyboard (3). There is a locking command region (6) on the keyboard. The keyboard is connected via a fingerprint sensor (Fingerprint) to an unlocking circuit (9) and a reset circuit (12). The locking region on the keyboard is connected to a locking function circuit. This circuit also receives inputs from a locking control circuit (7) and the unlocking circuit. It is connected to a function circuit (4), connected to a display circuit (11). An alarm circuit (10) may input signals to the display. The authorized user of the mobile telephone may configure the locking control circuit.
