<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulverized coal thermal power generation system capable of improving the generation efficiency by reduction in power of an auxiliary machine such as a ventilation machine in an air supply and exhaust system of a pulverized coal boiler and effective use while suppressing generation of NOx in exhaust air, and performing discharge of coal ash suitable to effective use, and an operation method of a pulverized coal thermal power generation facility in this generation system. <P>SOLUTION: In this pulverized coal thermal power generation system 1 in which a water electrolytic device 50 and an oxygen storage device 60 storing oxygen produced by the water electrolytic device 50 are attached to the pulverized coal thermal power generation facility 2 including a pulverized coal boiler 10 having a two-stage combustion part 11, oxygen produced by operating the electrolytic device 50 by use of a surplus of the generated power by the pulverized coal thermal power generation facility is stored in the storage device 60, and supplied to the combustion part 11. A hydrogen storage device and a fuel cell device can be attached to the generation system. A plurality of water electrolytic devices are set in parallel, and successively started and stopped at a predetermined set value of generation output equal to or more than a rated power generation output of the pulverized coal thermal power generation facility, whereby the responsiveness of the generation facility can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
