PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolysis cell of which the sealing member is not buckled and is not bent inwardly, and besides, which saves time and trouble for assembly work, and requires few components. SOLUTION: This electrolysis cell is used for introducing an electrolytic solution into a sealed space formed by many electrode plates 2 arranged in parallel, through an electrolytic-solution-passing hole 15 from outside, and discharging hydrogen and oxygen gases generated in the spaces among each of the electrode plates 2 when an electric power is applied on the electrode plates, to the outside through a gas-passing hole, wherein a coating layer 12 is integrally combined with both sides of each of the electrode plates 2; a plurality of bolt-insertion holes 3a are drilled in each of the electrode plates 2 and coating layers 12 on both sides, at a predetermined pitch; an elastic salient 13 is integrally installed in the coating layer 12 of one side of each of the electrode plates 2 so as to project outward; the electrode plates 2 are arranged in parallel to each other through a spacer 3 arranged between the annular coating layer 12 on one side of one of both adjacent electrode plates 2 and the other annular coating layer 12 on the other side of the other electrode plate; each of the spacers 3 abut to both of the coating layers 12, and the elastic salient 13 of the coating layer 12 on the one side is hermetically pressure-contacted with the coating layer 12 of the other side, through being tightened in the state by a clamping-bolt 7a inserted in the bolt-passing hole 3a in each of the electrode plates 2.
