The invention relates to a method for the treatment of waste with organic components, whereby in standardised method steps, various material solubilisers, for dissolving the organic material in a solvent and various reactors for carrying out a hydrolysis and/or a wet fermentation are used depending on the particle size and suitable solubilisers and reactors. A suitable waste treatment plant is also disclosed.
