PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform noise reduction processing depending on the frequency band. SOLUTION: An image data division circuit 10 divides image data into image data D11, D12 and D13 having a frequency in low band, from low to intermediate band, and from low to high band, respectively. The image data D11, D12 and D13 divided for every frequency band are inputted to noise reduction circuits 11, 12 and 13 which are set with parameters g11, g12 and g13 suitable for noise reduction of image data having a frequency in low band, from low to intermediate band, and from low to high band, respectively. The image data D11, D12 and D13 subjected to noise reduction depending on the frequency band are inputted to an image data synthesizer 14 and synthesized to represent one frame of image.
