PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location confirmation system capable of accurately obtaining detailed information of a current location inside a building particularly. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 140 includes an infrared transmitter 142. When a user who carries the mobile terminal 140, wants to know a detailed current location, the user irradiates a nearby illuminator 100 with infrared light. At such a time, a telephone number of the mobile terminal 140 is also sent. The illuminator 100 comprises an infrared receiving unit, a location information storage unit storing information of a position where the illuminator is installed, and the like. The telephone number received by the infrared receiving unit of the illuminator 100 is transmitted by power line conveyance together with the information of the position where the illuminator 100 is installed. The transmitted location information is sent through a power line conveyer 160 to an administrative computer 170 inside a control center. The administrative computer 170 sends information on the present location or the like from a portable phone network connection device 180 through a mobile phone network 190 to the mobile terminal 140.
