PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a printer controlling device which enables image processing corresponding to each printer engine to be shared in the printer controlling device whose object is printer engines of different kinds. SOLUTION: The printer controlling device connected to the printer engines for forming color images is equipped with an image processing means with a plurality of image processing channels for carrying out image processing to image data, a transmitting means for transmitting the image data image-processed by the image processing means to the printer engines, and a setting means for setting the image processing channel to be used among the plurality of image processing channels in accordance with the kind of the printer engine.
