Method for the manufacture of filament yarns ( 10 ), with first capillaries ( 25 a) in the centre of a spinning unit, whereby in each yarn type an identical make-up of the yarns from different material components pertains, for preference with several extruders, from which different materials ( 10 a , 10 b) can be conducted to several spinning packages ( 1,2,3 ), with a distribution system ( 1,2 ) with a distribution plate and spinning nozzles ( 32 ) with indentations ( 12 c and 12 a respectively) in the spinning package for accommodating the materials, characterised by at least one first material ( 10 c) for a first component of a first yarn type, which can be conducted into indentations which extend only over a part of a spinning package, and by a further material ( 10 b) for further yarn types, capable of being introduced into at least one further indentation ( 12 b), from where this material can be distributed over a larger or the whole extension of a distribution system ( 1,2,3 ) in order to pass to the spinning nozzles ( 32 ) concerned.
