Disclosed is an umbrella capable of drying water which comprises: an umbrella fabric which is made of a waterproof material or is coated with a waterproof material, and has a predetermined pattern, which appears when water exists in the waterproof material and disappears when water is removed; an umbrella shaft which is made of one among aluminum, magnesium, a plastic material, and carbon fiber and includes a first gear in a portion thereof; at least two umbrella ribs which are close to one end portion of the umbrella shaft and are made of the same material as the material of the umbrella shaft; and a handle including a second gear which is engaged with the first gear and rotates the umbrella shaft.
