<p>A method of determining the residual lifetime (LDr) of an electrolytic capacitor in a frequency converter comprises finding the core temperature (Tk) from the ambient temperature (T) and power loss ( Pv) and thus a corresponding life for each temperature and an aging speed that is integrated to give a specific age from which residual age is found. An independent claim is also included for a device for the above process.</p> |
