The proposed digital device for measuring an ultraviolet radiation dose acting on a biological object, specifically on the body skin of a human being, contains a band-pass filter, a photodetector, a display unit, and additionally, microprocessor control unit, a random-access memory unit, a read-only memory unit, a real-time clock with digital indication, a counter for determining the time of the irradiation of the biological object a number-to-voltage converter, a heat filter, an ultraviolet radiation source with a reflector, a combined filter with three bandwidths, a semi-transparent plate, a digitally-controlled diaphragm, a damper, a narrow-band filter, a number-to-displacement converter, focusing lenses, two additional photodetectors, and analog-to-digital converters. The outputs of the analog-to-digital converters, the input of the digital control unit of the diaphragm, and the input of the number-to-displacement converter are accordingly connected to the input and output of the microprocessor control unit. The proposed device provides a possibility to computerize the measurement process, enhance the measurement accuracy due to the exclusion of errors caused by the nonlinearity of the transfer characteristic of the photodetector, and is distinctive by its extended functionality range.
