The system has a tub door panel (15) to close an opening (13a) in a wall (16) of a tub (13), and an actuating unit (17) to actuate the panel between an open position and a closed position. Guide rails (18) guide an edge (15a) of the panel along a path tangential to the wall of the tub, and a lever and a guide rail guide another edge (15b) of the panel opposite to the edge (15a) along a path extending closer to the wall of the tub.
