TECHNIQUE FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF SEVERE LYMPHEDEMA IN LOWER LIMB

The technique for the surgical treatment of the severe lymphedema in the lower limb comprises the resection of the fibrously altered skin and fat followed by the autodermoplasty. First, the resection of the fibrously altered tissues is performed sparing the areas of skin and fat flaps, which remained practically unaltered, as well as the areas in the projection of the main lymphatic collectors. Under the lymphatic collectors, the aspiration lipectomy is performed. The postresection surfaces are covered by the artificial coating. At the second stage, when the granulation tissue appear the autodermoplasty is performed.
