FIELD: metal working, namely processes for applying wear resistant coatings onto cutting tools. ^ SUBSTANCE: wear resistant coating on base of titanium nitride or carbonitride containing molybdenum and aluminum as alloying component is applied by vacuum-plasma deposition process.
