PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the stator shape of a switched reluctance motor, where leakage flux occurs and hence torque is not reduced, even if providing a structure capable of locking winding to the innermost periphery side of teeth. SOLUTION: In the switched reluctance motor comprising a stator having a plurality of teeth, and a rotor that is positioned at the inner peripheral side of the stator and has a rotor having a plurality of salient pole sections, teeth U1 are formed by a back yoke section 4, a coil winding section 5, and a coil locking section 6 positioned at the inner periphery side of a coil winding section 4. At the coil locking section 6, a protrusion 7 which projects in the circumferential direction for locking the winding is provided, and circumferential width W2 at the innermost periphery side end of the winding locking section 6 is set narrower than that W2 at a portion in which the protrusion 7 of the winding locking section 6 is provided.
