OPTICAL INTERFERENCE FILTER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with an expensive temperature compensating mechanism in an optical interference filter using dielectric thin films and to easily reduce the amount of characteristic change caused by temperature. SOLUTION: In the optical interference filter which is made by laminating dielectric thin films 1 having at least one or more kinds on one surface of the main surfaces of a glass substrate 2, the thickness of the substrate 2 is made thicker than the x and the y axes of the dielectric thin films 1 so that the temperature characteristic is improved without using the expensive temperature compensating mechanism and the filter is made useful in an optical communication field.
