PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot air type heater with a simple composition, capable of distantly extending a discharge distance of air containing ions. SOLUTION: The hot air type heater is provided with a hot air passage 12 from an air intake 10 to a hot air supply opening 11, and apart from the hot air passage 12, an air sending passage 14 provided with the ion generator 26 generating ions and sending out air containing ions from an ion supply opening 13 in a neighborhood of the hot air supply opening 11. A blowing out direction B of the air containing ions from the ion supply opening 13, and a blowing out direction A of hot air from the hot air supply opening 11 are crossed in a front face side of an apparatus body, and the air containing ions is merged with the hot air.
