PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow cornice prevention plate capable of giving neither feeling of coercion nor uneasy feeling to people on the ground without spoiling the appearance of a building and displaying a sufficient snow cornice prevention effect. SOLUTION: The dimension of the thickness of a stripe-shaped flat plate body 2 is gradually decreased as it goes down, a windward side wall surface 21 is slightly angled from a virtual vertical plane, and the snow cornice prevention plate 1 is constituted by forming mounting sections 3, 3, ... to struts 4, 4, ... capable of being stretched by holding a predetermined surface forming angleαof the side wall surface 21 at a key point in the longitudinal right and left direction.
