PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drying hollow fiber membrane bundles, which is a simplified method compared with conventional techniques, can decrease a chance of lowering the performance of a hollow fiber membrane or deterioration in hollow fiber membrane components in a drying step and by which hollow fiber membrane bundles having high performance and safety and good storage stability and good module assembly property and to provide such hollow fiber membrane bundles. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the method for drying hollow fiber membrane bundles in a wet state through microwave irradiation, wherein microwave irradiation is halted when the water content of hollow fiber membrane bundles is 10 mass.% or more and the bundles are subsequently dried by far-infrared irradiation.
