PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver enabling a user to intelligibly set functions of search of various kinds of direction in channel selection. SOLUTION: A direction search setting unit 100 comprises a menu screen, and the following are each designated by cursors, i.e. (1) channel selection direction setting is "ON", (2) direction search setting per channel is "MANUAL", (3) the type of setting in channel selection is "EACH TIME", (4) OSD of automatic direction search per channel is "PRESENT", (5) direction search setting of digital is "AUTOMATIC", and (6) direction search setting of analog is "MANUAL". The menu screen of the unit 100 is used to set various direction search in channel selection, thereby enabling intelligibly setting the functions of various direction search in channel selection.
