PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight control device capable of maintaining brightness characteristics of the backlight in a linear shape at the time of PWM light control. SOLUTION: In a PWM light control type inverter circuit in which brightness of the backlight is controlled by a length of a period of ON/OFF of a PWN pulse, this provides the backlight control device in which the brightness characteristics of the backlight is kept linear by controlling a period (soft start period) to limit a rise time of the PWN pulse installed in order to reduce an audible sound moderately according to Duty of the PWN light control.
