PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscous fluid enclosed damper capable of miniaturizing a disk device by securely supporting to anti-vibrate the disk device even if abolishing to use a coil spring supporting mechanical chassis. SOLUTION: The viscous fluid enclosed damper 10 is provided with a peripheral wall part 16 comprising a rubbery elastic body. The peripheral wall 16 engages with an inner edge for engaging mounting strip of the mechanical chassis and forms a mounting groove 16a supporting plate surface of the mounting strip in surface contact. Therefore, weight of the mechanical chassis is dispersedly supported by support by means of surface contact at the mounting groove 16a. Consequently, the damper can support to anti-vibrate the mechanical chassis without the peripheral wall part 16 comprising a rubbery elastic body causing excessive deformation and can miniaturize the disk device even if abolishing to use a coil spring supporting mechanical chassis like before.
