PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a crime prevention device in which degrees or possibly of bothering peripheral residents such as neighbors are lower than before, and which reproduces a natural living sound more easily than before, and is hardly caught out. SOLUTION: Living sounds are stored in a storage medium 53. The storage medium 53 can store living sounds distributed through a CATV communication network 80. Providers providing the living sounds are optional. Sounds, which are naturally generated in usual living, are used, for example, sounds when doors or sliding doors are opened and shut, footsteps at corridors and stairs, sounds when things are put in or taken out from cupboards and drawers, sounds when cooking is made, sounds accompanying housework such as dish-washing, cloth-washing, cleaning and so on, sounds when toilets are flushed, and so on. The existence of a person is pretended by such a single or discontinuous living sound, and consequently peripheral residents such as neighbors are less bothered, and sounds which are real and difficult to catch out can be generated.
