PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce partial wear generated in a shoulder portion, in a pneumatic run flat tire equipped with a reinforcing rubber layer having a generally crescent cross-section in a side portion inside of the tire. SOLUTION: A ratio (Rs/Rc×100) of the outer diameter Rs of a belt layer end portion to the outer diameter Rc of a belt layer 6 on a tire equator surface, is made to be 100 to 103%. Contracting force in a tire circumferential direction of a belt layer end portion 6E when a crown shape becomes flat is made to be small, and fore-and-aft force existing in the shoulder portion 8 is suppressed to reduce partial wear generated on the shoulder portion 8.
