MARK DETECTION CIRCUIT, DRIVING CONTROLLER AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly detect a mark detection unable part on an endless moving member without using a dedicated mark and a sensor.

SOLUTION: A mark sensor 110 outputs an analog alternating signal consecutively modulated according to the presence or absence of respective reflection parts (marks) of a scale 250 on an intermediate transfer belt (endless moving member). Whether or not the mark detection unable part equivalent to a discontinuous part (break of marks) where space between the reflection parts becomes out of a previously set range or a defect part such as soiling or scratching exists in a mark detection area is decided from the output change of the analog alternating signal outputted from the mark sensor 110, and an error signal is outputted when the mark detection unable part exists in the mark detection area.
