摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm mechanism for simply modifying specifications while reducing a cost with simple constitution. SOLUTION: When a projector 10 is set in a brightness priority mode, diaphragm blades 54 and 56 are moved to an open position opening a first diaphragm opening 58. When the projector 10 is set in a contrast priority mode, the diaphragm blades 54 and 56 are moved to a closed position forming a second diaphragm opening 88 by notches 54c and 56c to be butted to a stopper 61 so as to be locked at the closed position. A low cost can be attained by adjusting the diaphragm by two stages. In addition, when the first diaphragm opening 58 is used, the diaphragm blades 54 and 56 may be moved so as not to be overlaid on the first diaphragm opening 58. When the second diaphragm opening 88 is used, the diaphragm blades 54 and 56 may be butted to the stopper 61.
