METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MULTIPLEX TRANSMISSION, AND PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for multiplex transmission, and a program and a recording medium thereof that preferentially secures a transmission band for transmitting control information and can minimize the resulting decrease in transmission quality of other media information at the same time.

SOLUTION: The multiplex transmission device is equipped with a control information division section 13 which divides the control information so that the expiration value of its response wait timer and the division size reversely correlate with each other and an encoding system selection section 14 which selects an encoding system such that media information has maximum transfer efficiency within a range excluding the division size of the control information. Then the division size is made large to suppress transmission delay when control information with high emergency is transmitted, but made small to allow transmission delay when control information with low emergency is transmitted, thereby improving the quality of the media information correspondingly.
