PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal cooling device for electronic equipment capable of efficiently cooling the inside while efficiently removing dust sticking on a dust-proof filter surface. SOLUTION: The internal cooling device 5 for electronic equipment is equipped with a cooling fan 6 which is fitted to the housing of the electronic equipment to cool its inside, and the dust-proof filter 7 which is mounted on the cooling fan 6 to prevent external dust from entering the inside. The cooling fan 6 is provided with a cleaning means 8 for mechanically operating on the surface of the dust-proof filter 7 to remove the dust sticking on the filter, and the internal cooling device 5 is provided with a driving means capable of normal/reverse driving for making the cooling fan 6 suck and discharge air. The driving means is provided with a control means for performing switching control under which air sucking operation by normal rotation is carried out in cooling operation, and air discharging operation by reverse rotation is performed and the cleaning means 8 operates in cleaning mode.
