PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of cracking around corner parts of an inclined part 4B in a connection part 4. SOLUTION: A plurality of plate members 3A-3C for composing a gasket 2 are punched by a punch and a knife at a prescribed position to project the connection part 4 downward, while simultaneously forming an opening part 9 corresponding to the connection part 4. The connection part 4 is provided with a bottom part 4A and an inclined part 4B. The bottom part 4A is compressed vertically by a punch and a support member to expand the bottom part 4A in the width direction till both side parts 4A' are locked to a lower surface of the plate member 3C. The plate members 3A-3C can thus be integrally connected to each other. Both side parts of the inclined part 4B are not cut, but become extended parts 13 to be connected to the plate members 3A-3C, thereby cracking is not generated around both corner parts of the inclined part 4B.
