PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a substrate with an organic single crystal where a large-sized and high quality organic single crystal is formed on a crystal growing substrate. SOLUTION: By contacting a part of a crystal growing substrate 100 to a crystal growing solution 101 and growing a crystal from the contacting point of the crystal growing substrate 100, the crystal growing solution 101, and a gaseous phase on the crystal growing substrate 100, a crystal nucleus can be locally formed at a desired place on the crystal growing substrate 100 and grown to a crystal.
