According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liquid crystal display device comprises: an insulation substrate; a thin film transistor located on the insulation substrate; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor; a common electrode facing the pixel electrode and separated from the pixel electrode each other; a liquid crystal layer injected into a space between the pixel electrode and the common electrode; a roof layer located on the common electrode; an inlet located on the roof layer and the common electrode; a cover film partially overlapping the roof layer while covering the inlet; a film layer located on the cover film and the roof layer; and a flattening film located on the film layer. Therefore, the present invention can reduce the weight and the thickness of the liquid crystal display device and manufacturing cost and time by manufacturing the liquid crystal display device using one substrate.
