<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exposure apparatus for an original printing plate for exposing a photosensitive layer while reliably shielding the surface of the photosensitive layer of the original printing plate from oxygen. <P>SOLUTION: While a closed space formed by a transparent substrate which holds the original printing plate and a covering member which covers the entire surface of the supporting body side of the original printing plate held by the transparent substrate and which adheres to the whole peripheral edge of the transparent substrate is evacuated, a squeezing means is, as synchronized to the evacuation, relatively moved from one end of the covering member to the other end to gradually squeeze air between the photosensitive layer of the original printing plate and the transparent substrate from one end toward the other end, so as to almost completely adhere the entire face of the photosensitive layer of the original printing plate to the surface of the transparent substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
