<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize both communication responsiveness and power consumption reduction in a receiver which stands by for several channels and mainly performs short packet data communication. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver comprises a carrier sense means 8 and a demodulation means 7, is used in a communication form using any of predetermined N channels to perform communication and receives a transmission packet comprised of a plurality of header slots and data slots following the plurality of header slots each containing a bit synchronizing signal, a frame synchronizing signal and an identification signal transmitted from a transmitter, the receiver being configured to perform intermittent carrier sensing by sequentially switching the N channels one by one at intervals of a first fixed time T<SB>1</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
