<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a print system having a printer and a host computer (PC) in which the load is shared between the PC and the printer for every job when a plurality of print jobs are delivered to the printer. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer (PC)1 comprises a conversion module 14 for converting application data into a print job described by page description language, a writing module 15 performing rasterization of the print job, and a transmission buffer 16 for storing the print job described by page description language and transfers the stored print job to a printer 4. The printer 4 comprises a wiring module 49 for rasterizing the print job received from the PC1, a writing time prediction module 48 for predicting the print processing time (rasterization time, sheet output processing time, and the like) of the print job, and a module 51 for determining the load being shared by the printer 4 and the PC 1 to minimize the print time based on the prediction results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
