PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic lens capable of suppressing light reflection due to a cut surface, and to provide a manufacturing method of the plastic lens. SOLUTION: The plastic lens has a flange part on the outer circumference of an optical surface and is manufactured by casting resin into a molding via a gate part. The cut surface of the gate part is a rough surface having a rugged shape of which the maximum surface roughness Rt is≥1μm and≤50μm and the average roughness Ra is≥0.1μm and≤5μm.
