PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image classification learning system and an image identification processing system using its learning result for performing classification learning and image recognition robust to a difference of image resolution, a change of an object, occlusion and sudden change of an environment. SOLUTION: Predetermined shape areas (windows), which are previously defined to be sufficiently smaller than the size of an image, are set to cover the whole of the image. A set of partial images, which are image subareas cut out from the respective windows, is created, and a sequence relationship corresponding to a non-similarity between all the cutout images is defined between them. Based on only the sequence relationship, the respective partial images are mapped to points in an arbitrary distance space, and using a direct product or a tensor product of positional coordinate vectors of the mapped points in the distance space as a characteristic quantity about the image, classification learning and class identification of the image is carried out.
