PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively solve a problem that a worker is locked in a storage chamber of a low-temperature storage with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This low-temperature storage wherein an opening of the storage chamber 6 constituted in a heat insulating casing is openably and closeably closed by a heat insulating door 5, comprises a handle 35 for opening and closing the heat insulating door 5, and a handle holding member 40 mounted on the heat insulating door 5 for holding the handle 35 to keep a closed state of the heat insulating door 5. The handle holding member 40 is mounted on the heat insulating door 5 by a handle 42 for emergency escape capable of being mounted and demounted from a storage chamber 6 side. A bolt part 42B of the handle 42 for emergency escape is engaged with a nut part 52 inserted into the heat insulating door 5 from the handle holding member 40 to be fastened.
