PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera for easily and safely copy or move data between respective recording media in the video camera mounted with a plurality of recording media. SOLUTION: A file to be moved from the CF card 20 of a movement source is selected by a DSC 28 and the determined file is temporarily stored in an SDRAM 33. When the directory structure of the SD card 31 being a movement destination is detected and the same file name exists, the DSC 28 adds a new name to the file which follows the file name existing in the SD card, to the data temporarily stored in the SDRAM 33, and after that, writes the data to the SD card and deletes the data of the CF card.
