FIELD: ice breaking equipment, particularly means for ice jam liquidation and for prevention of floods caused by river ice jams. ^ SUBSTANCE: device comprises rope and breaking anchor including breaking part and anchoring part formed so that breaking part may separate from anchoring one. Breaking part is located in low anchor section and may open in water. Structure made as folded umbrella and having negative floatability is secured to anchor by the rope. Structure is unfolded under the river flow action. Upper end of the anchor is provided with limiting washer, which remains on ice surface after ice jam breaking with breaking anchor and providing anchor fixation inside ice jam. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of ice jam breaking. ^ 4 dwg
