A pressure sensor is formed by a high frequency resonator (8, 14) with a medium forming the measurement volume. This is connected to the gas volume (3) to sense its pressure. The resonator is subjected to a high frequency alternating voltage. This allows the change in permittivity caused by pressure variation to be detected.
