PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus, a communication mode changing method and a program which can increase the possibility capable of continuing communication even when a modulation system is changed so as to raise the degree of multiple value. SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus comprises: an RF part 44 which performs radio communication using at least one frequency channel; and a control part 40 which acquires monitoring object frequency channel receiving state data indicating a receiving state of a signal to be received in at least one frequency channel except a communication midfrequency channel which is a frequency channel used by the RF part 44 and changes the modulation system used when a radio communication means transmits a radio signal based on a receiving state indicated by the monitoring object frequency channel receiving state data monitored by a monitoring object frequency channel receiving state acquisition means.
