PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a client/server system and its telegram transmitting/receiving method for easily transmitting/receiving a telegram only by calling a common processing part from the program of a client even at the time of performing transmission/reception processing by using a plurality of protocols. SOLUTION: A client 1 is provided with a transmission/reception definition information file 4 in which information necessary for the transmission/reception of a telegram is stored, a transmission/reception processing slave component 11 in which software unique to a transmission/reception protocol is integrated into a library and a telegram transmission/reception common processing part 3 for calling the information of the transmission/reception definition information file 4 and the library of the transmission/reception processing slave component 11, and for making common an application interface from a client program by a plurality of protocols, and for performing the transmission/reception processing of the telegram.
